Werkstudent – Algorithmic Trading Interfaces & Dashboards

Are you a tech-savvy student with a passion for both energy markets and building user-centric software? Eneco’s Intraday Power Trading team is looking for a motivated working student to support the development of user interfaces and dashboards for our algorithmic trading platform.

This is a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in one of the most dynamic areas of the energy transition – short-term power trading – while applying your software development skills in a real-world trading environment.

Your role

You will work alongside quantitative analysts and traders to:

• Design and develop intuitive front-end tools and dashboards for our algorithmic trading workflows
• Improve visualization of real-time market and strategy data
• Collaborate with backend developers and quants to integrate data from trading algorithms
• Help enhance the usability of tools used to monitor and configure trading strategies
• Get familiar with the full algorithmic trading setup in the European power markets

• You are a 3rd-year Bachelor or 1st/2nd-year Master's student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related technical field, (HBO or WO background is welcome)
• Strong skills in Python
• Experience or interest in front-end design (e.g., HTML/CSS/JavaScript, React, Plotly Dash, or Streamlit)• Bonus: knowledge of or interest in financial markets, trading systems, or energy trading
• Proactive mindset, structured working style, and you take ownerships of projects
• Available for at least 6 months, preferably longer
